We are delighted to welcome you to the brand-new The Plant Guy NI website.

What started as a passion for gardening and a fascination with plants has grown into a nursery dedicated to helping gardeners discover both reliable favourites and exciting new varieties. Based in the beautiful County Antrim countryside, our one-and-a-half-acre site is home to a growing collection of plants, shrubs, trees, and perennials, many of which we propagate ourselves from seed and rootstock.

One of the main reasons we started The Plant Guy NI was our frustration with seeing the same limited plant selections available year after year in many garden centres. While there is always a place for tried-and-tested garden favourites, we believe gardeners deserve access to a much wider and more interesting range of plants.

Many of us have watched Monty Don, Carol Klein, Alan Titchmarsh, David Domoney, and Gardeners’ World, only to fall in love with a plant that seems impossible to find locally. Our mission is to help bridge that gap by sourcing and growing unusual, distinctive, and hard-to-find varieties alongside the plants that every garden should have.

We are passionate about creating gardens that are more than just outdoor spaces. With an interest in garden design, we believe gardens should feel like a natural extension of the home—places that combine colour, texture, structure, scent, and seasonal interest to create spaces where people love to spend time.

As our website grows, we will be regularly adding new stock, seasonal highlights, gardening inspiration, and updates from the nursery. You will also be able to find information on the markets, shows, and events where you can meet us in person and browse our plants firsthand.
